Privacy notice
I take the protection of your personal data seriously. This notice tells you which data is processed when you visit this website, and on what legal basis. This is the English version – the German privacy notice is the authoritative one, and where the two differ, the German wording applies.
1. Controller
VELVET DOTS LIMITED, Unit 2, 2 Bridge Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 V8N7, Ireland. Director: Kirsten Biema. You can reach us through the contact form on the home page. Full details in the imprint.
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. When you open a page, the server automatically records what are known as server log files – among them your IP address, the date and time, the file requested and your browser type. This serves the secure and stable operation of the site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with Hostinger.
3. Contact form
If you write to me through the form, I process the details you enter (name, email address, message) in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). The message is transmitted server-side through the contact form on my host’s server (Hostinger); no third-party form service is involved. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed.
4. Scheduling (Calendly)
For booking first calls I use Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). When you book, the details you enter are transmitted to Calendly and processed there (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.
5. Newsletter (ActiveCampaign)
I use ActiveCampaign to send my newsletter. Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: you receive a confirmation email and are only added to the list once you have clicked the link in it (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email; your data is then deleted.
6. Web analytics (Google Analytics)
Where enabled, I use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure reach – exclusively on the basis of your consent given through the cookie notice (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. IP addresses are processed in truncated form.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time to information about your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Any consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
